Parking Projects
Slaw Precast has produced dozens of new parking garages over the years, as well as expanding the capacity of existing parking structures where matching component finishes is of critical importance. This is described in the Parking Section, which includes the Winthrop University Parking Garage.
The Winthrop University Parking Garage required the construction of a second level deck to the existing structure. This project entailed the construction of load-bearing walls, pillars, and finishing panels. Further, the project allowed us to make use of our capability to provide an accurate aesthetic match to an existing structure.
Recent statistics have shown that more new aboveground parking structures are built with precast concrete than any other structural system. Considering the benefits of precast concrete—high strength and durability, low maintenance, speed of erection, and unlimited design and aesthetic capabilities—it's easy to understand why precast concrete is the preferred material for parking systems.
